Driving to Punta Allen

If you plan to drive down to Punta Allen, while in Tulum follow the direction to Boca Paila.  From here you will drive south across the beach side of Tulum until you  reach a Mayan arch that signals the entry into the Sian Ka'An National Biosphere Reserve. Follow the 45 km of unpaved road that will bring you in the village. Ask beforehand about the road condition.  Sometimes, due to heavy rain, you will need a 4x4 car.
